SpineCAMP v1.4 is Officially Here
Discover the exciting new features of SpineCAMP v1.4, designed to enhance your clinical experience! With powerful capabilities like Longitudinal Reporting to track patient progression over time, and an innovative visualization of the Center of Rotation for better assessment of intervertebral motion, this update is a game-changer.
Medical Metrics, Inc. is thrilled to announce that SpineCAMP v1.4 is officially here- and it’s packed with powerful new capabilities and enhanced features.
Here’s what’s new:
1. Longitudinal Reporting – Longitudinal Stabilized Imaging Longitudinal Sample Report
Used to track changes in segmental and regional alignment over time. Longitudinal comparison reports that align and compare three timepoints: the earliest study, the prior study, and the most recent submission- offering a clear visual and data based look a patient progression. This is ideal for monitoring conditions such as degenerative disc disease, adjacent segment disease, or implant subsidence, and helps support informed decision making over the course of care. To enable this feature, DICOM metadata must be consistently defined across all submitted studies. Note: Longitudinal reporting is not retroactive. Only studies submitted after opting in will be candidates for inclusion in future longitudinal reports.
2. Visualization of Center of Rotation – COR Sample Report (Patent Pending)
SpineCAMP now offers an enhanced way to visualize the Center of Rotation (COR) between vertebrae- helping clinicians quickly assess the quality of intervertebral motion. Rather than just listing COR coordinates (which were previously difficult to interpret), our new approach uses stabilized flexion/extension animation to illustrate the rotation point in real time, overlaid with an ellipse showing the 95% confidence interval for that level, based on MMI’s normative database. In cases where COR is outside normal limits, the reporting includes a clear footnote flagging the abnormal finding, making it easier to identify atypical motion without diving into technical data.
3. Neutral/Flexion/Extension Reporting – NFE Sample Report
This new reporting option allows users to view measurements from Neutral, Flexion, and Extension images together in a single report. Originally designed for clinicians who wanted to assess alignment and motion side-by-side, it also supports workflows where viewing changes across all three views is helpful. Stabilization is still only applied between Flexion and Extension views, and Neutral images are displayed as-is. While uses cases are continuing to evolve, this configuration offers greater flexibility in how imaging data is presented.
4. Appending Reports Together – Appending Sample Report
Prefer a streamlined view of your patient’s SpineCAMP results? We now offer the option to combine multiple reports into a single, comprehensive document. This makes it easier to scroll through a full biomechanical profile, reduces the number of clicks, and is ideal for printing- especially useful for clinics that share hard copies for medico-legal documentation.
5. Updated Sign Convention for Spondylolisthesis Measurements
Based on direct request from clinicians, SpineCAMP is adopting a more intuitive sign convention for anterior/posterior offset. Now with v1.4, anterior offset will now be reported as positive and posterior offset as negative. This update aligns with standard clinical interpretation and applies to all new reports generated moving forward. This standards- level improvement enhances clarity and consistency across reporting.
